Pumpkin Investigation Part 2

It all started with one big pumpkin...
Our pumpkin investigation allowed us to use many skills!
We used our sense to help us describe the pumkin and we estimated
(our best guess) how many seeds we would find within the LARGE
pumpkin in our room.
With the large pumkin we started with are some
others of various sizes. Our challenge..to predict what we
thought the other pumpkins would look like on the inside!

Julia's prediction.  Notice that she drew each pumkin and wrote down how many seeds she thought may be inside!

Sharing some of our predictions before we get started!

Okay, here we go!  What's inside the teeny tiny pumpkin?

Turns out that even the smallest of pumpkins have seeds.  We noticed that the smaller the pumpkin, the smaller the seeds!
There were sooo many seeds in the large pumpkin we cleaned out.  We decided to make groups of 10 seeds.  Then, we counted by 10's to our final count...462 seeds!

Our closest estimation was from Oliver E.  He estimated that there would be 200 seeds.
